On the Move - Organized Sewing!

Today I began work on my sewing room. Here is a view of what the area looked like when it was in the smaller room. You can see the end of the ironing board comes into my sewing area - but it was handy for turning and ironing my project when needed. Projects waiting to be sewn sit on the end of the desk (they are also in the corner of the two desks)...and on the floor, and on the "guest chair"...everywhere!
My "wall of fabric" always gave me great inspiration. I sit on the floor and stare up at it and decide what I will create - what color to choose - what type of fabric could be added. (The bottom cupboard is also full of fabric!)

I think one of the greatest blessing in my life is that my best friend's husband is a fabric rep! The fabric is only part of the blessing the Lord has supplied - she is a wonderful prayer warrior for me and the spiritual flint - as iron sharpens iron - that I need to spur me on to following the Lord my closely! She is a treasure hand picked by the Lord. I think my husband thinks of "fabric" as a curse! (He has qualified that to be "moving the fabric is a curse!" AMEN!) However, the variety gives me lots of creative choice, especially of fabrics that I might not purchase or try if left to my own devices.
So...we begin the move...packing all into rolling crates to move into the new area. More later as I begin to put things away. Here is a sneak peek at the my new cupboards for fabric storage....

Off to work....
