Police work in a small town

If you look closely, you will see the nice Policeman speaking to the person in the car.  I wish I could have gone to the front of the car and caught the "shocked" look on their face.  The person was either speeding or the Policeman saw that the inspection sticker on the car had expired!  Policemen can see those kinds of things sitting up high on their horses.

There are actually two Policemen that "guard" the entrance to our fair city and  "invite" people to pull over.  They wave the car into this parking lot and one Policeman rides up to the window of the car to explain the "violation" and the other Policeman pulls his horse in behind the car. (Guess he runs the plates?)  I've seen them wave several cars into this lot...and the driver of the car always has a shocked look on their face!
I guess if you must be pulled over...it's more fun to have it done by a mounted Policeman!  I wonder if they can run radar while on horseback?

Till tomorrow...

I'd be so surprised to see the policeman on a horse that I might not realize I got a ticket until much later. We have them on bicycles in the summer and only the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are on horses for special occasions.
