Well, I opened my first jar of Blackberry Fig preserves. Our to Sunday School class had a pot luck on Sunday and I decided to take some bite size tarts.
I decided to go the easy route and I used the boxed pie crust from Pillsbury. I cut small rounds with my biscuit cutter and put them in my tart pan to bake. (For some reason I was distracted and didn't take any before pictures. Imagine!)
Here are the little tart shells...I did get a picture of them.
I placed a small dollop (is that a word?) of the Blackberry Fig preserves in the bottom of each shell, then filled the top with a cream cheese mixture. (Exact measurements at the end.)
Place a blackberry or a piece of fig on top of each one...and they're ready to eat. And they were yummy! In fact...none returned home with me!
Till tomorrow,
